Sharon Peacock began her married life in a traumatic way - by spending her wedding night in the emergency department of a hospital.
London, Oct 5 : Sharon Peacock began her married life in a traumatic way - by spending her wedding night in the emergency department of a hospital.
The bride, who married Richard Haugh at the posh Sharrow Bay Hotel in Ullswater, Cumbria, spent the night in A and E after getting a punch from her brother-in-law.
Sharon suffered a suspected fractured cheekbone after John Davies attacked her during the reception.
However, Davies, who is married to Sharon's sister, denied assault and actual bodily harm at Carlisle magistrates.
Davies, of Castle Douglas, Kirkcudbrightshire, will be tried next month.
