A bomb blast took place near the Japanese Embassy at Panipokhari, Kathmandu on Monday afternoon. However, no injury or casualty was reported.

Kathmandu, Oct 1 : A bomb blast took place near the Japanese Embassy at Panipokhari, Kathmandu on Monday afternoon. However, no injury or casualty was reported.

The blast occurred at around 1.10 p.m., police officials said.

A person on a motorbike with a pillion rider threw a plastic bag on the pavement and fled away, Nepalnews quoted eyewitnesses, as saying. The bomb exploded immediately.

Nobody has claimed responsibility for the blast so far.

Police said that the investigations are on.
