Princess Dianas niece Lady Kitty Spencer has beaten the likes of Sienna Miller and supermodel Lily Cole to top Tatlers annual list of The Most Eligible Girl in Britain.
London, Nov 5 : Princess Diana's niece Lady Kitty Spencer has beaten the likes of Sienna Miller and supermodel Lily Cole to top Tatler's annual list of 'The Most Eligible Girl in Britain'.
Tatler's Little Black Book that comes out in December lists the 200 'coolest kids in town' considered 'social Viagra' because of their connections and standing in society.
Not only is the publication considered a high spot on the social calendar, but also as coveted an event is the party to celebrate its release.
Kitty Spencer is the eldest daughter of Diana's brother Charles and his first wife Victoria Lockwood.
Kitty, rarely seen in the public eye, stepped into the spotlight when she was kissed by cousins Princes Harry and William after the service for their mother Princess Diana in the Guards' Chapel, London.
Rarely seen out on the party scene, the 17-year-old is a straight-A student at Reddam House, a private school for South Africa's elite.
Tatler said of her: "Kitty is one Spencer definitely worth keeping an eye on . . . [She] divides her time between Althorp [the Spencers' Northamptonshire home] and Cape Town."
Kitty's best friend Kelsey Geeling said that though she was very excited about being named the most eligible girl in Britain, she would not be attending the Tatler party due to exams.
"It's hysterical. Kitty thinks it's very exciting. She has been in the spotlight since Diana's memorial. But Kitty was surprised when she got her invitation on Friday to the Tatler party," the Daily Mail quoted Geeling, as saying.
"She was very excited but unfortunately she won't be able to go because we are in the middle of our exams. She's really disappointed," she added.
Sharing second place in Tatler's list are sisters Isabella and Gabriella Calthorpe, otherwise known as Bella (the actress) and Bumpy (the model).Third spot went to actress Sienna Miller, described by the magazine as a Sloane kitten.
Ralph Lauren muse Lady Gabriella Windsor came in at No 4 on the list.
