Politicians are the least trusted professionals in the UK!

A recent survey has revealed that UK consumers put more faith in car salesmen than politicians, making the law makers the least trusted professionals.

London, May 8 : A recent survey has revealed that UK consumers put more faith in car salesmen than politicians, making the law makers the least trusted professionals.

A parallel survey in 2002 showed that only 15 per cent of respondents trusted politicians, but this year the number has dropped to more than half, with only 7 per cent finding the policy makers reliable and 8 per cent trusting car salesmen

According to the survey by Readers Digest magazine, which polled 1,900 people, the most trustworthy professionals were firefighters, with 97 per cent of UK consumers putting their faith in them.

Next in the line were professionals like pharmacists, airline pilots, nurses and doctors, reports the Scotsman.

Reliance and faith in the police has risen by 14 points in the past two years, with almost three-quarters of people now trusting them, compared with 64 per cent in 2005.

The standing of financial advisors has also improved, with 40 per cent now trusting them, which is 15 points up than 2005.
