The District heads of Nepali Congress (NC) on Saturday urged Party Chief Girija Prasad Koirala to clarify the partys stance on the issue of monarchy before the Constituent Assembly (CA) elections.
Kathmandu, May 5 : The District heads of Nepali Congress (NC) on Saturday urged Party Chief Girija Prasad Koirala to clarify the party's stance on the issue of monarchy before the Constituent Assembly (CA) elections.
Speaking at a national meeting of the District heads that began in the party's head office at Sanepa on Friday, the District leaders said the monarchy was the only impediment to democracy in the country.
The District heads of Nepali Congress also reminded people about their constant fight in the past to sustain democracy.
Discussions were also held on various work papers presented by various Constitutional and legal experts.
The work papers on polls procedures, aims and challenges of the Constituent Assembly, Federal structure and its challenges in Nepal were presented at the meeting.
