Karachi, May 29 : The Sindh Assembly adjourned sine die on Tuesday, following a deafening ruckus over the May 12 violence in the city.

The assembly was called into session on the opposition's request.Assembly proceedings began an hour late as Deputy Speaker Rahila Tiwana urged opposition members to remove all anti-government play cards in the House.

After offering prayers for the victims of the May 12 violence, the treasury and opposition benches traded charges with each other, triggering verbal mayhem.

Provincial Minister, Mohammad Hussain Khan said that if the comments continued to be passed, then it would harm the environment. Leader of Opposition Nisar Khurho told Tiwana that the environment of the House had been spoilt by Hussain and, therefore, asked for a ruling to have him evicted.

Amid the uproar, Rafique Engineer of the Pakistan People's Party accused the government of sending Tiwana to run Assembly proceedings with partiality.

Government members demanded an apology from Engineer, and when he refused, Tiwana adjourned the proceedings sine die.
