Over 20 people were killed and several others injured in a powerful bomb blast here on Tuesday.
Peshawar, May 15 : Over 20 people were killed and several others injured in a powerful bomb blast here on Tuesday.
The explosion occurred in Marhaba Hotel on the crowded Naz Cinema Road close to the centuries-old Mahabat Mosque, reported The News.
A number of wounded have been rushed to hospital. An emergency has been announced in Lady Reading Hospital.
Police have cordoned off the area and investigations are on.
Most of the hotel workers were reportedly Afghan nationals.
The Provincial and federal governments have issued security alert in Peshawar.
Peshawar has been hit by a series of bomb attacks in recent months.
