Islamabad, May 1 : Female representatives of the Islamic-dominant Jamaat-i-Islami have said that they will soon introduce a bill in the North West Frontier Province (NWFP) Assembly banning the use of women models for advertisements.
According to the Dawn, women legislators of the party told reporters in Peshawar that the bill is aimed at ending discrimination against women.
The legislators - Dr. Kauser Ferdos, Raheela Qazi, Aisha Manwar, Inayat Begum, Razia Aziz, Zubaida Khatoon, Shagufta Naz, Fozia Farakh, Sabira Shakir and Aftab Shabir also said that another bill would be introduced in the NWFP Assembly to ensure maternity leave for privately-employed women.
