Lahore, June 2 : The months of September and October would be crucial for the country's politics as General Pervez Musharraf would be taking vote for his re-election as president from the outgoing assemblies, said Railway Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed.
Ahmned was quoted by The Nation as saying that these two months would clear many issues, and those in the opposition camps might support Musharraf, thus surprising every one.Talking to reporters at the Pakistan Railways Headquarter here, Ahmed said that the opposition was trying its best to create hurdles before the planned vote for the re-election of the president.
He said the ruling party had the complete strength in terms of votes that might be needed for the presidential election. He also hinted at the possibility of general elections soon after the presidential election.
