Pak Government policies behind Talibanisation of Pashtoons

The recent Pakistan Government policies are pushing the Pashtoons into the laps of Taliban, which is bound to have serious repercussions, said former President Farooq Ahmed Khan Leghari.

Lahore, July 27 : The recent Pakistan Government policies are pushing the Pashtoons into the laps of Taliban, which is bound to have serious repercussions, said former President Farooq Ahmed Khan Leghari.

Farooq told Geo news that to avert the circumstances of anarchy and disintegration in the country, the government should adopt a discreet policy and try to sort out the problems by taking opposition into confidence.

"Otherwise, disastrous consequences will follow and Pakistan will find it very difficult to escape its fallouts," The News quoted him, as saying.

The former president said the US failed in Iraq, and added that it is taking its failure revenge from other countries, and now Pakistan is being bullied.

Leghari said that American intimidation and wrong policies have given birth to the al-Qaeda and now it is maligning Pakistan.
