At least seven Frontier Constabulary (FC) soldiers were wounded in two separate bomb attacks in North Waziristan on Monday.

Islamabad, July 23 : At least seven Frontier Constabulary (FC) soldiers were wounded in two separate bomb attacks in North Waziristan on Monday.

Reports reaching here from Miran Shah said that the a checkpost at Khasadar was also destroyed.

According to sources, five FC peronnel were wounded by a remote-controlled bomb at Razmik Road in Dosli, some 40 kilometers away from Miran Shah. Two more FC soldiers were hurt in attack on Dangeen the checkpost.

So far, fifteen security check posts have been destroyed in the region following the collapse of the 10-month-long peace deal last week.

Militants in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) in Pakistan's North Waziristan region ended truce on July 14, giving rise to apprehension of more suicide attacks and blood bath in the days ahead.

The announcement was seen as a direct fall out of the Lal Masjid siege, and the in the week gone by , close to 200 security personnel have been killed.

The number of troops deployed in the region has been increased manifold, and Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf has vowed to eliminate extremism from "every nook and corner" of the country following the end of the Lal Masjid crisis.
