Lahore, July 22 : The newly set up All Parties Democratic Movement (APDM) will launch a campaign to register their protest against the Musharraf regime from Quetta on August 9, opposition leaders have said.
APDM Punjab leader from Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal Liaquat Baloch and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Zaeem Qadri told a news conference that they would finalise the course of action to launch a march to Islamabad.
The Supreme Court verdict of reinstating sacked Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry had opened a new chapter of judiciary's independence; The News quoted Baloch as saying.
Baloch demanded the resignation of all who were behind the presidential reference against the CJP.
The APDM joint action committee meeting that is scheduled to be held in Islamabad on July 23 with PML-N Chairman Raja Zafarul Haq will draw a road map for further activities, he added.
A marathon public meeting would be held in Rawalpindi on August 14, he said.
Baloch said at the London All Parties Conference, the MMA has assured the Pakistan People's Party that it was ready to resign from Balochistan and NWFP Governments.
