Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) president Qazi Hussain Ahmed, who is also Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief, today announced his resignation from the membership of National Assembly.

Islamabad, July 14 : Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) president Qazi Hussain Ahmed, who is also Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief, today announced his resignation from the membership of National Assembly.

He said that he would not attend future national Assembly proceedings as he has tendered resignation from the National Assembly's membership, The News reported.

Qazi Hussain Ahmed said that his resignation would be sent to the Speaker National Assembly, Chaudhry Amir Hussain.
