Bride arrested after attacking groom with her stiletto

A bride gave her husband the first roaring row of married life on their wedding day.

London, July 11 : A bride gave her husband the first roaring row of married life on their wedding day.

Scottish bride Teresa Brown was arrested at her wedding reception after smacking her new hubby on the head with a stiletto.

The 33-year-old also turned a hotel room upside down as she grappled with Mark Allerton while guests partied below.

Staff at Aberdeen's Hilton Treetops hotel called cops after 40-year-old Mark stumbled down to the hotel desk clutching a blood stained towel to his head.

Police found distressed estate agency worker Teresa sitting on the hotel room bed, surrounded by broken glass.

"She wasn't particularly nice to the police. She was asked to calm down but didn't and was arrested and detained for questioning," the Daily Mail quoted prosecutor Alan Townsend, as saying.

Brown admitted attacking her husband and wrecking the bridal suite at the Treetops Hotel in Aberdeen.

Brown's lawyer Stuart Beveridge said the newlyweds began throwing things at each other after an argument in their room turned physical. He said Brown had been on antidepressants at the time and had been drinking.

"This is a very sad story. There had been an argument in the bridal suite. They had both been throwing things about the room and at one point, she struck him on the head with a shoe," Beveridge said.

Brown had been charged with a breach of the peace by shouting and swearing at officers, but her plea of not guilty was accepted. She was fined 250 pounds and ordered to pay 500 pounds compensation to the hotel.

Sources say that both have accepted joint responsibility for the damage that's been caused, and are still very much together.

"I've forgiven her and I love her. It was something over nothing. Just one of those silly things," Allerton said.

"It's unfortunate that the police got involved. It was hellish for me seeing her taken off in handcuffs, but at the end of the day we're back together and we're happy. I'm not holding anything against her," he added.
