At least 16 Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) terrorists were killed and three Sri Lankan soldiers were injured during three different confrontations, according to the Sri Lanka Media Centre for National Security.
Colombo, Dec 9 : At least 16 Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) terrorists were killed and three Sri Lankan soldiers were injured during three different confrontations, according to the Sri Lanka Media Centre for National Security.
The confrontations took place on Saturday in Mannar, Vavuniya and Jaffna.
In a confrontation in the Kallikulam area of Mannar, around four terrorists were killed, while several other were severely injured.
In Vavuniya, a soldier was injured due to the explosion of an anti- personnel mine during a search operation. In the other incident 10 terrorists were killed and two soldiers were injured.
Troops also confirm that two terrorists were killed when they launched an attack in Jaffna.
ANI
