Pakistan has denied entering a secret deal with the US to eliminate terrorism through unilateral action.
Islamabad, Dec 6 : Pakistan has denied entering a "secret deal" with the US to eliminate terrorism through unilateral action.
"No, there is no secret deal," Foreign Office spokesman Muhammad Sadiq told reporters here.
Sadiq also rejected US President George Bush's warning that the US will act unilaterally in Pakistan if they find credible evidence of al Qaeda elements.
"We have been saying that any attack inside Pakistan would not be acceptable. We would not allow anyone to attack, and all counter-terrorism measures would be taken by Pakistan only," he added.
"We are part of international efforts in the war against terrorism, but we will not allow any other country or power to take action inside Pakistan's territory, " the Daily Times quoted Sadiq, as saying.
Pakistan's nuclear assets were well guarded due to a multi-layered command and control system, he said.
