Karachi, Dec 5 : A total of 11 fishermen were arrested by Pakistani maritime security forces and were handed over to police on Wednesday for allegedly fishing in Pakistan's territorial waters in the Arabian Sea.

Last week Pakistan had arrested 39 fishermen and had impounded over half a dozen boats.

Most of fishermen belong to Gujarat State in India and fall prey to the absence of demarcation line near the disputed Sir Creek estuary between the two countries.

The arrests were made about 35 nautical miles inside Pakistan's exclusive economic zone, claimed spokesman of Pakistan's maritime security agency.
