US Comedian smashes own gag-telling endurance record

American comic Dave Chappelle has smashed his own gag-telling endurance record.

London, Dec 5 : American comic Dave Chappelle has smashed his own gag-telling endurance record.

Chappelle told continuous jokes for six hours and 12 minutes straight at the Laughter Factory, which is five minutes longer than his record-setting performance on that very stage eight months earlier.

"Dave was determined to keep his record because he recently heard that Dane Cook was planning on trying to break it," The Sun quoted Jamie Masada, the club's owner as saying.

Masada said Cook held a record of three hours and 50 minutes in early April.

However, until then the mark had stood at two hours and 41 minutes since Richard Pryor set it in 1980.
