Kabul, Dec 5 : At least 13 people have been killed when a suicide attacker rammed his explosives laden car into an Afghan army bus here on Wednesday, the Defence Ministry has said.
Six Afghan National Army soldiers and seven civilians were killed immediately after the attack, Defence Ministry spokesman, General Mohammad Zahir Azimi, said.
At least 13 people were wounded, he said, adding that he expected the final numbers to be higher when the situation becomes more clear.
A health ministry official said four of the dead were children.
The blast comes one day after a similar attack on a NATO convoy close to Kabul airport in which 22 Afghans were injured.
The News reported that buses carrying soldiers and police have increasingly been the target of suicide bombers in recent weeks.
The bombing is the third suicide attack in the city in the last eight days.
