Kathmandu, Dec 30 : Almost three months after parting its way from the Nepal Government, Maoists are all set to re-join the government today.
According to the Kantipuronline, the Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist has submitted the names of its ministerial candidates to Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala.
The Maoist ministers will take charge of their old portfolios.
Maoist ministers had resigned from the interim government on September 18 in protest against Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala-led Government's lukewarm response to their demands for declaring the Himalayan nation as a "republic" and a fully proportional electoral system for the Constituent Assembly election.
On December 24, the Nepal Cabinet had adopted the agreement signed by the top leaders of the six ruling parties and the Maoists to declare the country federal democratic republic subject to implementation by the first meeting of the elected Constituent Assembly.
