The final journey of former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto began from Sukkur to Garhi Khuda Bakhsh in Larkana for her burial near her father Zulfikar Ali Bhuttos grave.

Karachi, Dec 28 : The final journey of former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto began from Sukkur to Garhi Khuda Bakhsh in Larkana for her burial near her father Zulfikar Ali Bhutto's grave.

Thousands of people also converged here to see the last rites performed of their leader, who was killed on Thursday evening in a suicide and gun attack minutes after she wrapped up a public rally in Rawalpindi's Liaqat Bagh area.

Benazir's husband Asif Ali Zardari, elder daughter Bakhtawar, younger daughter Asifa, son Bilawal, central leader of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Makhdoom Amin Fahim, Shery Rehman and other friends and family members are accompanying the convoy leading to the burial ground.

Her dead body was brought by a C-130 flight to Sukkur Airport, this morning, from where it was taken to Larkana by an army helicopter.

In the final journey to Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, an ambulance is carrying the coffin draped in PPP party flag.
