The President of the Pakistan Muslim League (Q), Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, has rejected any chance of a reconciliation with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Islamabad, Dec 25 : The President of the Pakistan Muslim League (Q), Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, has rejected any chance of a reconciliation with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Shujaat said: "There was no question of a coalition with Former Premier Nawaz Sharif because he has transformed the N-league into a Pakistan People's Party (PPP).
Commenting on statements by Sharif, that the Chaudhry brothers were an obstacle in the way of a unified PML, Shujaat said that he did not give any importance to Nawaz since he had become a junior partner of the PPP.
"Muslim league workers will never vote for the PPP. PML-Q is focuses on manage seat adjustments with like-minded parties," he added.
Refuting pre-poll rigging allegations as baseless, Shujaat said Nawaz cannot interfere in the elections as the Election Commission is very vigilant.
Shujaat said Nawaz's clamouring about rigging the elections shows that he has accepted defeat already.
While addressing a public gathering at Jhelum, Pakistan Punjab province Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi has said that the masses would decide between the continuity of the development programmes initiated by the PML-Q and the corrupt policies of the PPP.
