A Sindh High Court (SHC) bench on Wednesday adjourned the suo moto hearing of the May 12 incidents in Karachi, till August 20.
Karachi, Aug.8 : A Sindh High Court (SHC) bench on Wednesday adjourned the suo moto hearing of the May 12 incidents in Karachi, till August 20.
The bench has invited answers of 35 questions prepared by Qazi Faiz Essa, from the federal and provincial governments.
The bench has also taken notice of closure of the city roads by containers on May 12 and made the Federal Minister for Ports and Shipping Babar Khan Ghouri, KPT and the home secretary a party in the case; the court directed them to submit their statements to the court, The News reported.
Earlier, during the hearing Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali in his remarks said President Gen. Pervez Musharraf in his speech on May 12 in Islamabad said that the people have demonstrated their power in Karachi.
What was reported to the president by the provincial government and secret agencies, on which he made these remarks? Justice Jamali asked.
