Islamabad, Aug.8 : A senior Pakistani intelligence official, said to be a Musharraf loyalist, is presently in London to seek details about Indian intelligence agencies' keeping a close watch on the workings of their judiciary.
According to a report in the Qatar Times, the unnamed intelligence chief has also been reportedly tasked with the responsibility of meeting with former Prime Ministers Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif in a bid to make them come around to idea of allowing Musharraf to serve a second consecutive term as President.
The public relations wing of the Pakistan defence forces, however, denies having any knowledge about the whereabouts of this top spy chief, but reliable sources have confirmed his presence in London.
"I am not in knowledge," Major General Waheed Arshad, the spokesman of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said when contacted on the issue.
The intelligence chief is said to have gone to London just days after the Musharraf-Benazir meeting in Abu Dhabi, reliable officials said.
According to the officials privy to the spy chief's schedule, he has been in London for the last four days. his is also not the first time that this officer has gone to Britain. He also accompanied Musharraf during his Abu Dhabi meeting, official sources claimed.
