The project to restore the damaged historic ship Cutty Sark is facing a shortfall of 16 million pounds.
London, Aug.8 : The project to restore the damaged historic ship "Cutty Sark" is facing a shortfall of 16 million pounds.
According to a report in The Scotsman, an additional 10 million pounds has been added to costs for the ship that was ravaged by a fire in May this year.
The Cutty Sark Trust said conservation work interrupted by the fire would resume next month.
The iconic tea clipper, in dry dock in Greenwich, south London, was severely damaged in the blaze, although almost half the ship had been removed as part of the conservation work and only five per cent of the original fabric was lost.
