Camilla attending Princess Dis memorial service branded the biggest insult of them all

Critics have branded Duchess of Cornwall Camillas decision to attend Princess Dianas memorial service as the biggest insult of them all, after she decided to be a part of the event upon her hubby Prince Charles orders.

London, Aug 8 : Critics have branded Duchess of Cornwall Camilla's decision to attend Princess Diana's memorial service as 'the biggest insult of them all", after she decided to be a part of the event upon her hubby Prince Charles' orders.

The much-loved princess had referred to Camilla as the 'other woman in her life' and her friends believe that it is 'cruel and insensitive' on her part to attend the gathering with Prince Charles, to mark the 10th death anniversary of the princess.

"Camilla cannot be allowed to go. This is the biggest insult. This is a poignant service for a girl who was loved by the people," the Daily Express quoted Margaret Funnell, one of Diana's friends, as saying.

"How dare the very woman who hurt her so much show her face at her memorial? It is insensitive and cruel and we don't want her there. We appeal to Charles not to take her to this service. Charles had an adulterous relationship with Camilla and now they are going there to remember her together? No," she added.

Apparently, some of Princess Diana's closest associates have not been included in the service.

It is also said that Camilla herself is 'dreading' the event and is furious courtiers have put her in a tight spot, by not defending her decision.

"She knew there was going to be a public backlash, so why didn't they? None of this is Camilla's fault. She is acutely aware that her attendance will be perceived as hypocritical," a senior figure said.

"While she wants to publicly support the Prince of Wales, and always will, she believes she has been placed in an invidious position," the person added.

Recently, it was also revealed that 88pct of respondents in a poll believed that Camilla are not for the 60-year-old being crowned the Queen.
