Lahore, Aug 8 : Former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto has said that she is willing to stand for premiership once again, and has asked President Pervez Musharraf to quit the army in order to continue as the country's ruler.
"She was considering standing for the premiership again if the people of Pakistan vote for me then certainly I would consider it," Bhutto told Sky news.
She acknowledged that the constitution would have to be changed to allow her to serve a third term, but said she was '90 per cent' sure she would stand for election.
"But this is more than a struggle for me, it's a struggle for the heart and soul of Pakistan as well as restoration of democracy in the country," The Nation quoted Bhutto, as saying.
She also said country is in the grip of militancy, terrorism and violence and her government has had experience of dealing with these.
