Asylum fugitive knocks on cops door!

A Bangladeshi immigrant who broke out of a detention centre in the UK was caught after the home he went asking for help and shelter turned out to be that of a cop.

London, Aug 7 : A Bangladeshi immigrant who broke out of a detention centre in the UK was caught after the home he went asking for help and shelter turned out to be that of a cop.

The immigrant was one of 26 broke out of Campsfield House detention centre, Oxfordshire, on August 5.

Police officer Bill Smith, 50, revealed that the shoeless man turned up at his house at 9am on August 6. As soon as he recognised the man, Smith told his wife Sheila to call police.

When the runaway tried to escape for the second time be climbing over the garden fence, Smith was able to restrain him till other officers arrived to take him back.

"I sat him in a garden chair and gave him a drink of water and he calmed down. He was frightened and didn't want to go back. But as a prison officer you're never off duty," Ananova quoted Smith, as telling the Sun.

And, this isn't the first time that Smith has had escaped detainees in his garden, for it has happened twice before.
