Pakistan Muslim League (PML) president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif does not require the governments permission to return home.
Lahore, Aug 6 : Pakistan Muslim League (PML) president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif does not require the government's permission to return home.
Sharif should return to Pakistan, but the decision whether to deport him or not would be taken after his arrival, the Daily Times quoted Hussain, as saying in a Geo News report.
"I have personally said that Nawaz Sharif should come back, but it is another thing if he doesn't like to return," he said.
Hussain ruled out that the government is seeking a power-sharing deal with another former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. He said the government was instead giving some relaxation to Benazir by withdrawing corruption cases against her.
He added that such relaxations could also be given to other politicians, including Sharif.
