Karachi, Aug 6 : Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf today said that he would be re-elected as country's next president with uniform by the present assemblies.
After holding consultations here with all the political parties allied with the present regime, Musharraf exuded confidence of being re-elected.
However, on the issue of wearing the general's uniform, he said that it could be sorted out later.
"The talks on the uniform issue could be held after the holding of the forthcoming general elections," The News quoted Musharraf, as saying during his address to the parliamentarians here. The President highlighted the "unprecedented progress" made by the country's economy during his last eight years rule.
Briefing media, spokesman of the President, Major General (Retired) Rashid Qureshi, emphasised that Musharraf helped in taking out the country from the brink of bankruptcy, at a level, which was never been achieved in the past six decades of its existence.
