Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) president Qazi Hussain Ahmad has predicted that Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf will be thrown out before the general elections.
Islamabad, Aug 4 : Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) president Qazi Hussain Ahmad has predicted that Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf will be thrown out before the general elections.
Urging countrymen to support the democratic movement, Qazi said Musharraf is not acceptable to the nation with and without uniform.
"For holding next elections in a free and transparent manner, first Musharraf will have to go and then, an independent Election Commission and impartial interim government will have to installed," the Daily Times quoted Qazi, as saying.
He alleged that the present regime is blindly pursuing US policies and barely resists US pressure.
"Pakistan should stop acting as a US colony," Qazi said.
