The pastor of a Christian church and his American wife were shot dead in their home here on Wednesday.

Islamabad, Aug.31 : The pastor of a Christian church and his American wife were shot dead in their home here on Wednesday.

Police sources were quoted by The Herald Tribune as saying that the bodies of Arif Khan, a Pakistani-American citizen in his 50s, and his American wife Kathleen Khan, 45, were found at their home in a residential neighborhood of Islamabad.

Police said they have arrested their suspected killer and his wife, who are also Christians.

The arrested man, Honey Haveed, said during questioning that Khan had had an affair with his wife, and that he had shot him "for honor."

Police were searching for another man suspected as an accomplice.Hussain.

U.S. Embassy spokeswoman Liz Colton said American privacy laws prevented officials from discussing such crimes.
