Five-year-old turns chauffeur for drunken mom!

An American woman has landed in trouble with the law after getting so drunk that her five year old son had to drive her home.

London, Aug 31 : An American woman has landed in trouble with the law after getting so drunk that her five year old son had to drive her home.

24-year old Holly Schnobrich is now being charged with child endangerment and public intoxication.

The drama began when her Mitsubishi car came to a screeching halt on a neighbour's property in Lafayette, Indiana, on Saturday night.

Concerned neighbours who peeped into the vehicle to see who was driving were left astounded when the saw the five-year old little boy behind the wheel.

According to the Telegraph, when Wendy Barrett, the neighbour on whose property the car stopped, asked Schnobrich: "Is this toddler driving your car?", his mother replied: "He's a good driver."

Also in the car was the woman's younger child, a three-year old son.

The police, confirming the incident, said that while neither child appeared hurt or upset, the five-year-old admitted that he had been "having a hard time because I can't reach the pedals".

The Department of Child Services is currently looking after the kids.
