A German woman left destruction in her wake when she went to visit one of her relatives graves after a booze binge.

London, Aug 27 : A German woman left destruction in her wake when she went to visit one of her relatives' graves after a booze binge.

The woman drunkenly plowed across the cemetery in her car, smashing up headstones and tombs before coming to a halt in someone's grave.

The 53-year old drove into the graveyard in the southern town of Mitterteich on a track running through, but was so sozzled that she lost control and in the process rammed into several headstones and tomes, destroying them.

"Eventually she ended up stuck in a grave and couldn't get out, so we had to pull her out," Metro.co.uk quoted a police spokesman, as saying.

"She said she'd come to visit one of her relatives' graves," he added.

Cops estimated the total damage to graves and her car at around 12,000 pounds.
