An angler got a real shock when he instead of a fish, he reeled in a fishing rod that a pal of his had lost sea three months earlier.

London, Aug 27 : An angler got a real shock when he instead of a fish, he reeled in a fishing rod that a pal of his had lost sea three months earlier.

Jim Last made his surprise catch at the same spot 25km off the Essex coast where pal Richard Tolley had dropped his rod earlier in year.

Tolley admits that he was bamboozled when he saw that instead of a fish, he saw his own rod being reeled out of the water.

"When I saw it coming out of the water I said "My God, that's my rod!"' Metro.co.uk quoted him, as saying.
