The Pakistan Government is considering submitting its reported agreement with former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the Supreme Court on Wednesday to prove that Sharif and his family had agreed to leave the country for 10 years.

Islamabad, Aug 21 : The Pakistan Government is considering submitting its reported agreement with former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the Supreme Court on Wednesday to prove that Sharif and his family had agreed to leave the country for 10 years.

The decision was reportedly taken at a high-level meeting attended by President Pervez Musharraf and his constitutional and legal advisers.

Attorney General Justice (retd) Malik Muhammad Qayum, former Law Minister Dr Khalid Ranjha and other advisers discussed the possible repercussions of the agreement being submitted in the apex court, the Dawn reported.

Sharif has denied having signed any agreement with Musharraf, while Federal Railway Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed and Qayum have claimed to have seen the documents.

According to sources, the meeting also discussed various options, including extension of the tenure of the present assemblies.
