Pakistan Government today claimed of arresting two hardcore militants who were involved in the two suicide attacks in the national capital post the Lal Masjid episode.
Islamabad, Aug 21 : Pakistan Government today claimed of arresting two hardcore militants who were involved in the two suicide attacks in the national capital post the Lal Masjid episode.
The two militants arrested were directly linked to the July suicide bombings in Islamabad that killed 29 people and were closely associated with the controversial mosque. They has also planned... suicide attacks on our Independence Day," said Javed Iqbal Cheema , Interior Ministry spokesman.
The Interior Ministry official did not state when and how the arrests were made, but added that more such arrests are in the offing.
Meanwhile, President Pervez Musharraf today said that the country's security is the most important matter and that the security can be achieved with strength and not with weakness.
