London, Aug 21 : British royal Prince William failed to show up for a game of football with staff at the island resort he is holidaying on after having a bit too much to drink.
The 25-year old had agreed to play a game of footie with the staff, but failed to show.
This left people speculating that he had either guzzled too many bottles of SeyBrew - a potent local lager that he was seen enjoying, or that he just couldn't bear to be separated from ladylove Kate Middleton's arms.
"He was either too sick or didn't want to leave lovely Kate's arms. We suspect he was too hung-over - but either way he did not turn up for the game," The Sun quoted a source, as saying.
The source added that though the workers had been left a bit disappointed by William's no-show, they were also quite amused by the whole incident.
"The local workers were disappointed, but still found it quite amusing," the insider added.
William and Kate are on a romantic holiday in the Seychelles, staying at the 5,000 pounds-a-week Desroches Island Resort.
"William and Kate have been delightful to have on the island. They've been very modest and friendly and down to earth," the source said.
"They love the seclusion. William thinks it's great that there's no mobile phone reception."
The holiday, along with the news that Middleton has been given the keys to Clarence House, has bookies placing new odds on an impending engagement.
