U.S. President George W. Bush is going to become dad-in-law, for his daughter Jenna is now officially engaged to boyfriend Henry Hager.
Washington, Aug 17 : U.S. President George W. Bush is going to become dad-in-law, for his daughter Jenna is now officially engaged to boyfriend Henry Hager.
The White House announced that the engagement took place on August 15.
"President and Mrs. George W. Bush are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jenna Bush, to Mr. Henry Hager, son of the Honorable and Mrs. John H. Hager of Richmond, Virginia," the People quoted a spokesperson, as saying.
"Miss Bush and Mr. Hager became engaged Wednesday, August 15, 2007," the White House announced.
According to First Lady Laura Bush's press secretary, Sally McDonough, however no wedding date has been set yet, but Bush and Laura are very happy for the couple.
"They're happy for both of them," McDonough said.
Laura and Hager, a former White House aide and University of Virginia graduate student have known each other for around two years.
The to be son-in-law joined the Bush family last year for a long weekend in Kennebunkport, Maine, when he was just beginning classes to get his MBA at the University of Virginia's Darden School.
The 29-year-old is currently in his final year of the program.
