London, Aug.14 : A British Muslim police inspector took time out from his duties to have a 20-minute sex session with a woman in a police room at Gatwick airport, a Southwark Crown Court has been told.
Forty-one-year-old Masood Khan, a British Transport Police inspector responsible for rail passenger safety across southeast England, met the 43-year-old woman on the Internet site uniformdating.com and arranged for the "quickie" session, Prosecutor Michael Mulkerrins told court on Monday.
According to The Times, Khan drove to the rendezvous from his office in Victoria, Central London, on July 23 last year, in a marked police car, after telling a junior officer that he needed the room for police business.
Khan arrived at the airport's railway station and stood on the concourse in full uniform before meeting the woman. CCTV footage show the couple going to a sparsely furnished police room on Platform 2 at the station and emerging 20 minutes later.
Khan, a police officer of 15 years standing, accepts the woman performed a sex act on him and they had full intercourse during that time.
Mulkerrins said Khan was in charge of 20 officers and the most senior officer on duty in charge of rail networks across the South East.
He, however, has denied the charge of wilful misconduct in a public office. The trial continues.
