Odisha Minister Maheshwar Mohanty is stable

Odisha Minister for Tourism and Culture Maheswar Mohanty, being treated in a hospital in Bhubaneswar for gunshot injuries was stated to be on stable and out of danger. Doctors attending on him have removed a bullet from his ribs. However, police claim no sources about the assailants who shot at him. Kalinga Hospital chief RK Padhree said that Maheswar Mohanty will be under 48 hour observation.
It may be recalled that the Minster was injured on his left arm and back when the attackers who were apparently following him on a two-wheeler opened fire at him in a narrow lane near his house in Puri on Friday night.
