Nine persons killed and ten injured in fire in Dehradun Express

Railway authorities said on Wednesday that nine passers were killed and over ten passengers were injured when a sleeper coach of the Bandra-Dehradun Express caught fire on Wednesday. According to them a fire broke out in one the sleeper coaches that spread to other three bogies of the train around 2.30am and this was happened between Gholwad and Dahanu road station in Thane in Maharashtra. The injured were rushed to local hospital.
Railway Minister Kharge orders probe
Railway Minister Malikharjun Kharge has ordered a probe into the incident. He announced an ex-gratia of Rs five lakh each to the next kin of those killed in the incident.
