Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi opposes induction of Sabir Ali into BJP

  • Janata Dal (United) Muslim leader Sabir Ali joined Bharatiya Janata Party
  • BJP vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi objected to the induction of Sabir Ali and even linked him to Indian Mujahideen co-founder Yasin Bhaktal
  • Naqvi went on twitter to post his disappointment and wondered if Dawood Ibrahim is next. "Terrorist Bhatakal friend join BJP…soon accepting dawood"
  • Naqvi felt that mistakes made should be rectified as soon as possible.
  • Naqvi reminded that Sabir Ali has called Bhatkal a nationalist and not a terrorist
  • Recently, Right-wing fanatic Muthalik was admitted to the BJP only to be sacked soon
  • Rajeshwar Chaurasia, national secretary and MLA in Bihar also opposed the induction of Sabir Ali and smelled a conspiracy
  • Sabir Ali was sacked by JD(U) after he praised Narendra Modi and attacked Nitish Kumar. He was denied renomination to Rajya Sabha.
  • Sabir Ali reached out to BJP president Rajnath Singh and expressed his interest to join BJP. JP Nadda, Dharmendra Pradhan and Sudhanshu Trivedi were present during the induction ceremony.
  • Sabir Ali was a co-assued in Gulshan Kumar murder case and was later acquitted
  • Rajeshwar Chaurasia, national secretary and MLA in Bihar also opposed the induction of Sabir Ali and smelled a conspiracy
  • BJP Rajya Sabha member Balbir Punj also asked the party leadership to reverse the decision to induct Sabir Ali.
  • Senior leader Kalraj Mishra also expressed his disappointment
