MLA suspended for criticising Rahul Gandhi
June 1, 2014 - New Delhi
The Congress party on Sunday suspended Sardarshahur MLA Bhanwar Lal Sharma for criticising AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi for the root out of the party in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections in Rajasthan.
It may be recalled that the Congress party has lost all the 25 seats in Rajasthan. The congress party MLA has charged the vice-president Rahul Gandhi for the losses and described him as 'MD of Congress circus' and his advisers as 'jokers'.
Sharma is the second leader to be suspended for open criticism of leadership followed by TH Mustafa, a Kerala MLA who was suspended last week nearly on the same grounds.
Reacting over the suspension, Sharma said that there was no democracy in the party and only one family controlled the functioning. However, he said that he is not aware of the suspension.
