Noted Indian writer Khushwant Singh passes away at 99

Noted Indian writer in English Khushwant Singh passed away on Thursday at the age of 99.
Born in 1915, Khushwant Singh was known for his witty and candid writing that carried him through 1960 and 1970. He has nearly 40 books to his credit that include more than half a dozen short story collections. His last book 'The Good, The Bad and The Ridiculous' was released in October 2013. The Best of Khushwant Singh, The anthology that first published 20 years ago with his selected works has been revised to include 18 more essays, short stories and opinions. Penguin India has launched the revised edition on this Saturday.
