Gopinath Munde died of heart attack in the road accident

The Union Minister for rural development Gopinath Munde (64) who died on Tuesday morning in a car accident suffered a heart attack. He was on his way to the Delhi Airport at 6.20 am when the accident happened. The minister was travelling in an SX4 car at the Prithviraj Road which was crashed by an Indica car in the heart of the national capital.
Driver and PA escapes unhurt
The driver of the car and the minister's personal assistant were unhurt in the accident as they were seated in the front and they rushed him to trauma centre at the AIIMS.
Doctor's efforts could not save his life
The efforts of the doctors could not save his life. There was no spontaneous breathing and no cardiac activity when was brought to the hospital, according to doctors.
The driver of the Indicia car was arrested. Police said that he is an employee of Imperial Hotel and was charged with negligence and rash driving causing the death.
