  • BJP president Rajnath Singh said NDA would get a comfortable majority of over 300 seats in the coming general elections. He said there will be no need for a post-poll alliance with other parties.
  • Aam Aadmi Party candidate for Amethi Kumar Vishwaas claims that he has threat to his life from a close aide of Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi. He said he would approach the Election Commission and Police to file a complaint.
  • Peoples Democratic Party sarpanch Mohammad Amin Pandit was shot at point blank range by Militants. He was shot dead outside his residence in Avantipore in Jammu & Kashmir.
  • PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti will approach the Election Commission over the killing of Amin Pandit. He has blamed the government of Omar Abdullah for the killing.
