'Rethink Adarsh decision', says Rahul Gandhi

AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi on Friday asked the Maharashtra government to reconsider its decision on the Adarsh housing scandal.
Speaking to press, he said that 'Have told the Maharashtra CM my opinion there is no question of protecting anyone', he said when asked on this. Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan who was present when Gandhi made the remarks told the journalists that he will consult the Cabinet colleagues and get back to the media, he said. Sources said that the issue was raised at the meeting by a general secretary.
Rahul Gandhi commitment was one of the five decision taken on Friday that all Congress ruled States should enact by February 28, 2014 a Lokayukta Act in line with the just enacted Lokpal Act for the Centre. He asked the other political parties to cooperate with the UPA government if they were serious about fighting corruption and pass pending anti-corruption Bills, including one on whistle-blowers, at a special session, said Gandhi.
