Polycom Expands Presence in India, Launches Two New Customer Experience Centres in Response to Growing Demand for Video Collaboration Solutions

Polycom, Inc. (Nada: PLCM), the global leader in open standards-based unified communications and collaboration (UC&C), today announced the launch of two new Customer Experience Centres in Mumbai and Bangalore, showcasing Polycom’s latest video, voice and UC&C infrastructure solutions, including mobile video solutions and cloud-delivered video collaboration.

Together with the existing Customer Experience Centre in New Delhi, the launch of the new Customer Experience Centres represent a strategic go-to-market initiative for Polycom to demonstrate its complete portfolio of video collaboration solutions to both existing and potential customers across India, from large-scale enterprise to SMBs and government departments, in response to growing demand for UC&C solutions in the country.

According to the latest results by Frost & Sullivan Research in their report “Video Conferencing Endpoints & Infrastructure Market in India CY 2011,” the Indian Video Conferencing Endpoints & Infrastructure Market is expected to see a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR)of 20.1% over the next seven years. The report also highlights Polycom as the video collaborationleader in India with a market share of 50.2% in 2011.i
