HCG Pinkathon – More than 2500 Women Run for a Cause in the Fight Against Breast Cancer

In the 10K category, the prize was won by Shubha Bhargava, 5K category, Garima Takyai and 3K Deepika Joshi.
According to Population based cancer registry/ICMR Study, the incidence of breast cancer in Delhi - 32.3 per 1,00,000/New cases diagnosed per year and by 2015 we will have 1,06,214/New cases will be diagnosed every year in India.
Mr. Milind Soman, Marathon Runner and Founder, Pinkathon, said, “I’m happy to see so many women coming to lend their support. Awareness is the key and events such as these go a long way in creating awareness, early diagnosis and helps in the fight against breast cancer.”

Harinder Sraw, breast cancer Survivor, said, “Once you know the cause of the disease, you will make necessary lifestyle changes. I was diagnosed with breast cancer, it could be detected early because I was aware of the symptoms and met the specialist at the right time.”
